2027 Wall Calendar: Living a Life of Wonder

“Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.” (Mary Oliver)

The 2027 calendar is built around Mary Oliver’s call to notice the world around us. Each month features an original painting completed this past year: a barred owl keeping watch from the cover, a bear stepping into spring, the working Lowcountry coast in The Trawler and The Oysterman, a bull elk in autumn light, and a covey of bobwhite quail to close out the year.

Paintings that include metal leafing in the original are printed with gold, copper, and silver metallic inks, so the shimmer of the real work carries onto the page. Tilt it toward the light and you’ll see it.

Inside you’ll also find a personal letter from me about this year’s theme and the story behind the studio. Each calendar is printed with care in Upstate South Carolina.
