A long dock leads to the Waccamaw River where many of our adventures begin. At the end of the dock is where we feed the turtles and fish, catch a glimpse of a visiting gator or two and hop aboard “Large Marge the Party Barge,” the pontoon boat that leads us winding through the river and in an out of some of South Carolina’s most beautiful waterways..

I love the lowcountry. From growing up visiting my grandparents’ home in Charleston, to vacationing at Pawleys Island every summer for as long as I can remember, the Spanish moss, pluff mud, marshes and waterways of the lowcountry are a part of me.

I’m excited to release this series of mixed media paintings that chronicle some of my favorite experiences, places and memories from the lowcountry.  From Sandy Island, Murrels Inlet and Garden City to Pawleys Island, Brookgreen Gardens and trips down the Waccamaw River, this series captures portions of South Carolina that are picturesque and extremely meaningful to me.
