Greenville Open Studios is just around the corner...mark your calendar! I will be opening my studio to the public on November 8, 9 & 10 (Fri. 6-9 pm, Sat. 10-6 pm, Sun. noon-6 pm).

Come visit me at Studio 8 upstairs at Greenville Center for Creative Arts (101 Abney Street, Greenville 29611)!

The 2019 self-guided tour will feature over 150 artists and their studios. Studio locations vary throughout a 15-mile radius of downtown Greenville. Open Studios catalogues for 2019 will be available in my studio. Visit Metropolitan Arts Council for more info about the event.

I will have pieces at various stages of completion to show how I work from initial concept to completed painting.

When I was in high school, I first dabbled in oil painting in AP Art. My teacher was allergic to paint thinner and required me to use disposable paint brushes if I was going to use oils, but I didn't let that stop me. For two years, I worked on a series of three-dimensional, layered-wood, oil paintings using only Q tips as brushes. Recently, I've created a few new 3D pieces using a similar approach (with brushes!). Come see some of the new pieces like this one, South Carolina Peach I.
